Funeral services for Mrs. Christina Bonnet, 63, who died at 5:30 pm Saturday, October 21st, at her home in McClusky, were held at 2 pm Wednesday at the Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. A.J. Fischer.
Mrs. Bonnet had been ill for the last three months, her condition becoming critical recently. Death was caused by diabetis.
Christina Bonnet, nee Zindler, was born Dec. 7, 1886 in Russia, a daughter of Mr. William and Johana Zindler. She came to the United States on Dec 7, 1906 settling at Anamoose. On March 8, 1908 she was united in marriage to Peter P. Bonnet at Harvey. They farmed in Prophets township from the time of their marriage until 1942, when they moved to McClusky to live in retirement.
Christina and Peter were the parents of 11 children, 2 of whom preceded their mother in death. Mrs. Bonnet leaves besides her husband, the following sons and daughters: Mrs. Phillip Gehring (Martha), Lincoln Valley; Mrs Edwin Helm (Emma), McClusky; Albert Bonnet, Mercer; Walter Bonnet, McClusky; Reinhold Bonnet, Jamestown; Mrs. Ed Derheim (Ruth), Coleharbor; Otto Bonnet, McClusky; Mrs. Robert (Bob) Neuharth (Irene), McClusky; Theophil (Ted) Bonnet, Minneapolis; also one brother, William Zindler of Montana and 24 grandchildren.
Pallbearers were John Grosz, Philip Voegele, Philip Hegel, Henry Kuch, A.J. Neuharth, and John Dockter.
Burial was made in the McClusky city cemetery. Arrangements for the funeral were in charge of Berg Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers were Karl Schatz, A.J. Neuharth, Ben Dockter, Norman Lasher, Ellsworth Kenyor, and Morris Theile.
