    Allen L. "Fritz" Zimbelman was born at the home of his parents Paul and Alice (Stoltenberg) Zimbelman on the farm north of Millboro, South Dakota on January 10, 1935 and went to be with Jesus on March 25, 2012.
    Fritz grew up on the farm and attended Blue Valley rural school for eight years and graduated from Colome High School in 1953.
    In September of 1953, Fritz joined the United States Marine Corps and served with the Fleet Marine Force. He was released from active duty in 1955 and received his Honorable Discharge in 1963, after completing the 10 year obligation.
    On November 20, 1955, he was united in marriage to Carol Hughes at the First Christian Church in Winner, South Dakota. To this union six children were born.
    Fritz worked for Miller Bros Auto Co. in Winner for 10 years. He worked for Winner Production Credit Association for 10 years. Also during this time he owned and operated Mr. Z's Café in Winner.
    During the years of working in Winner, Fritz was very active in community affairs. He was a charter member of the Winner Jaycees, Winner Quarterback Club, Winner Golf and Country Club, and he was active with the Winner Masonic Lodge, serving in all offices and finally as Master and District Master. Fritz was a full life member of the American Legion.
    In 1976, Fritz sold his business and his small farm and entered Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. He graduated from Central Bible College with a BA in Bible and entered the full time Ministry in 1980.
    During the following years he served churches in Moulton and Monterey, Iowa; Rock Rapids, Iowa; Independence, Missouri and Winner-Ideal-Wood, South Dakota. He was active in all the Ministerial Associations in the areas that he served in.
    Remaining to remember his life are his wife Carol, his children: Bonita (Joel) Juillard, Sioux Falls, SD; Douglas Zimbelman, Winner, SD; Mark Zimbelman, Winner, SD; Bradley (Liz) Zimbelman, Rock Rapids, IA; Susi (Duncan) Riedl, Winner, SD; and Matt (Amy) Spaulding Zimbelman, Sioux Falls, SD; four granddaughters, six grandsons, seven great-grandchildren, two brothers: Don (Delores) Zimbelman, Rapid City, SD; and Robert (Velma) Zimbelman, Enid, OK and a foster brother Dennis Dirks, Dayton, OH as well as many other friends and former church members.
    He is preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents.

    Allen heiratete Hughes, Carol Rae am 20 Nov 1955 in Winner, Tripp County, South Dakota, USA.     ZIMBELMAN, Brad Zimbleman, age 49 of Rock Rapids, IA died on Monday, May 27, 2013 at his home in Rock Rapids, IA, after a courageous battle with cancer.
    A Celebration of Life will be held 2 PM Sunday, June 2, 2013 at Christian Church (Disciples) church in Rock Rapids with Rev. Carolyn Salberg officiating.
    There will be visitation Saturday, June 1, 2013 at the Christian Church (Disciples) from 4 - 8 PM with family present from 6 - 8 PM.
    The Jurrens Funeral Home of Rock Rapids is in charge of the arrangements for 49-year old Brad Zimbleman.
    Bradley Paul Zimbelman was born June 13, 1963 in Sault Ste Marie, Michigan, the fourth of six children born to Allen "Fritz" and Carol Zimbelman.
    When he was 3 months old the family returned to their hometown of Winner, South Dakota, where he attended school until Junior High. He then moved with his family to Sringfield, Missouri, where his father attended college to become a minister.
    After high school, Brad worked in Oklahoma in the oil fields and also worked in commercial construction. He moved with the family to Rock Rapids in 1987, where he worked for Heartland Electric, Rock Rapids Machine & Welding, and then Town & Country Implement in Rock Valley for the last 18 years.
    On the 29th of July 1989, Brad married Liz Jaqua. To this union two sons were born, Cody and Cole. While the boys were involved in school he helped many other boys in the Lions Den Wrestling, and helped coach. Brad and Liz were very faithful to attend all their events no matter what sport it was. He was a member of the Christian Church (Disciples) of Rock Rapids, active as an elder and trustee.
    He loved his family very much and was a dedicated worker in all that he did. He especially loved sharing his faith with everyone. He is survived by his wife Liz Zimbelman of Rock Rapids, Iowa; his children Cody and Cole of Rock Rapids, Iowa; mother, Carol of Winner, South Dakota; and five siblings, Bonita (Joel) Juillard of Sioux Falls, Doug and Mark of Winner South Dakota, Susi (Duncan) Brown-Reidl of Winner, South Dakota, and Matt (Amy) Spaulding-Zimbelman of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; special nieces and nephews, and other extended family.
    He was preceded in death by his father Al "Fritz"; and his four grandparents.
