      Pearl Lehr, 90, Moorhead, Minn., formerly of Alfred, N.D., died Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009, at Elim Care Center, Fargo, N.D.
      Pearl Violet Lehr was born June 15, 1919, in Alfred, the daughter of Fred and Bertha (Hochstetter) Lehr. She grew up and received her education in Alfred and Gackle, N.D., where she graduated from high school in 1939. She received her nurses training at St. Alexius Hospital School of Nursing in Bismarck, N.D. She worked as a registered nurse in Seattle, Wash., and in Wyandotte, Mich., prior to moving to the Minneapolis area. She lived in Robbinsdale, Minn., and worked at Swedish Hospital, later named Metropolitan Medical Center. She retired in 1981, after 32 years of service.
      She continued to live in the Twin Cities and was active in the 4th Baptist Church, where she was a key part of the Golden Agers group. In October 2006, she moved to Moorhead. In 2008, she became a resident of The Evergreens. In February 2009, she became a resident of Elim Care Center, Fargo.
      She is survived by three sisters, Nora (Ervin) Gums, Jamestown, Dora Austin, Denver, Colo., and Rosella Grosz, Moorhead; and a brother, Melbert, Lodi, Calif.
      She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Raymond, Harry and Arthur.
      Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Brookdale Baptist Church, Moorhead.
      Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
      Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown.
