Linda Mae Lamson, 59, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016, surround by her loved ones, after a fifteen month battle with cancer. She was born on Jan. 28, 1956, to Loren and Dorothy Ottmar. Linda was fortunate to have grown up enjoying Janesville, in the early seventies: frequenting Frosty Freeze, going to house parties and waitressing at Alpine. She graduated from Craig High School in 1974. Her soon-to-be husband, Larry Lamson, went to the crosstown rival, Parker High School. They married in 1976, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. After Larry concluded his enlistment in the Navy, the couple returned to Janesville, and Linda worked at Mercy Hospital as a medical transcriptionist until she became employed at LabSafety in the Human Resources department. Linda and Larry relocated to Wichita, KS, in 1995.
During their forty year marriage, they were blessed with three children, five grandchildren, six dogs and one cat.
The Memorial Service for Linda will be held at ST. PAUL’S LUTHERAN CHURCH at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016. In lieu of flowers or gifts of remembrance, please donate to CaringBridge.org which helped her family and friends communicate during the course of her treatment. DOWNING & LAHEY EAST MORTUARY, Wichita, KS.
