Kathryn I. Hawbaker Lydic Millhouse, 87, of Orrstown Personal Care Home and formerly of 4885 Guitner Road, Chambersburg, Pa., died Friday, June 21, 2002, at the nursing home.
Born June 13, 1915, in Claylick, Pa., she was the daughter of the late John David and Mary Catherine Tolsten Hawbaker.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank E. Lydic, in 1963. They were married Oct. 11, 1940. She was preceded in death by her second husband, C. Frank Millhouse, in 1991. They were married Jan. 9, 1982.
She attended Kasiesville, Pa., schools.
She was employed by various shoe factories in Franklin and Adams counties. She also worked in the housekeeping department at Wilson College in Chambersburg. She was last employed as a machine operator for Sylvania Shoe Co., retiring in 1980.
She was a member of Welsh Run Church of the Brethren in Mercersburg, Pa.
She is survived by a stepdaughter, Glenda K. Wagaman of Chambersburg; a stepson, Gary L. Millhouse of Saratoga, Wyo.; three sisters, Zelda Laye of Hagerstown, Velenora Weller of Chambersburg and Vera Orris of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; a brother, Ned S. Hawbaker of Sylvania, Ga.; three step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Beulah Hawbaker, Olca Skinner and Pauline Jones, and two brothers, Harold Hawbaker and Rubin Hawbaker.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Miller-Bowersox Funeral Home, Greencastle, Pa. The Rev. Henry Hunsberger and Dr. W. David Kent will officiate. Burial will follow in Lincoln Cemetery, Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
