Longmont Ledger (Longmont, Boulder County) - Dec 22, 1922
NIVEN-BOWERSOX--A the home of the bride's parents, Dr. and Mrs. U. S. G. Bowerson, Wednesday, December 20, 1922, Mr. Clarence E. Niven and Miss Gayle Crystal Bowersox, Rev. J. R. Warnick officiating.
As the beautiful wedding march was being played by Miss Marylou Gosick of Fort Collins, the bridal party took their places.
The bride looked very lovely in a gown of white crepe meteor, heavily embroidered in white sate bogie beads, and carried a shower bouquet of roses and narcissus. She was attended by Miss Alice Flanders.
The groomsman was Mr. Carl Bimson of Berthoud, a life long friend.
The house was beautifully decorated in green and white, the sorority colors of the Kappa Delta, of which the bride is a member. The lovely refreshment also carried out the color scheme.
The relatives and a large number of friends were present filling the lovely home.
The bride's going away suit was of saupe cloth, trimmed with moleskin and she looked very charming.
She graduated from the music department of the Argricultural College in June 1922, and is one of Longmont's most popular girls.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Niven of Longmont, is a graduate of the Longmont High school and attended the University specializing in chemistry. He now has a very excellent position as chemist for the Santa Fe Railroad Co. and is in for a good promotion.
Mr. and Mrs. Niven left for a short wedding trip but will spend the Christmas holiday of Longmont, after which they will go to Topeka, Kansas, where they will make their home.
