Amanda Frey, 84, Glen Ullin, died October 14, 2004, at the Glen Ullin care center. Services Monday, October 18 from Century Baptist Church, Bismarck, Reverends Gordon Stork and Willis Potratz officiating.
Amanda was born January 22, 1920, near New Leipzig, the daughter of Karl and Sadie (Mohr) Auch. Raised and educated at New Leipzig then completed cosmetology training at Christy's Beauty School, Bismarck. Married November 28, 1948, at New Leipzig to Bennie Frey. Worked as a beautician until becoming a full time mother/homemaker. She took great pride in her family and spent countless hours nurturing her grandchildren.
Had a passion for the outdoors, loved music and had a strong faith in God. Enjoyed the peaceful outdoors.
Survived by one daughter and son-in-law of Lexington, Nebraska; several grandchildren; brothers, Emanuel (Diane) Auch, Rudy (Phyllis) Auch, Arvin (Bernice) Auch; sister, Frieda Barry; and sisters-in-law, Esther, Anna, and MaryAnn Auch.
Preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Frey; granddaughter, LauraLee Williams; sisters, Lenora Siewert, Viola Auch; brothers, John, Rhynold, Theophil and Edwin Auch.
