Roberta Elizabeth (Krueger) Pinter, 84, of Princeton was surrounded by family in her daughter's home when she was called home to her Lord on Friday, March 29, 2013.
Roberta was born Feb. 19, 1929, in William C. and Lydia (Goering) Krueger of DePue. She graduated from DePue High School (1947) and had a distinguished career in government service working at the Bureau County Courthouse, first in the County Clerk's office, then in the Circuit Clerk's office, where she retired as deputy clerk in 1996.
Roberta married Wilbur J. Pinter Jan. 2, 1949, at St. John's Lutheran "Church on the Hill" where she had been baptized and confirmed. They farmed in the Arlington area, before moving to Princeton.
Roberta was a life-long member at "Church on the Hill" where she served many roles, including Sunday school teacher, council member, ladies group officer, Junior Lutheran's leader and Altar Guild. During retirement she kept busy with church activities, Gold Coating at Perry Memorial Hospital, helping at The Closet, serving as an election judge, visiting family and babysitting for her grandkids. She was always "on the go" but enjoyed having coffee or lunch with friends, as well. If help was needed, Roberta would volunteer.
