Obituary of Henry Sayler Wishek, ND Diamond Jubliee Book pg 133 Henry served in the US Army during World War I. He returned to the family farm at Wishek and later he and his wife moved into Wishek where he worked as a carpenter for more than 30 years. He was a partner in Sayler Brothers Hardware for eighteen years. Mr. Sayler served in the armed forces of the US during World War I. Henry was a member of the Wishek Association of Commerce, Tri-County Fair Board and the American Legion and a member of the McIntosh County Barracks. Mr Sayler was the chief carpenter during the construction of St. John's Congregational Church in Wishek where he served as Sunday School Superintendent and a member of the inter-denominational group which conducts religious services for residents of the Wishek Retirement Home. Henry SAYLER born 21 January 1895 on his parent's farm homestead was the son of Frederick SAYLER Sr. and Christina WERNER.
Henry SAYLER married Fredricka GALL on the 25th of March 1918 in McIntosh County, North Dakota.

OBITUARY:
Mr. SAYLER was engaged in farming near Wishek for 24 years and then moved into Wishek where he was a carpenter for 30 years. He was a partner in Sayler Brothers' Hardware for 18 years. Mr. SAYLER also served in the armed forces of the United States during World War I.
On 25 Mar 1918 Mr. SAYLER married Fredricka GALL, the daughter of George GALL and Elizabeth TRAUTMANN. Henry and Fredricka apparently had no children. She was born in South Russia on 6 Nov 1895 and immigrated to the United States with her parents on the 26 Oct 1900 at the tender age of almost 5. The Galls first settled in the Tyndall, South Dakota area in 1900 but in 1906 they moved to the Burnstad, North Dakota area.
Mr. SAYLER was a member of the Wishek Association of Commerce and the Tri-County Fair Board. He also was a life member of Fred Kelle Post No. 87 of the American Legion and a member of the McIntosh County Barracks.
Mr. SAYLER was an active member in St. John's Congregational Church. He played an important part in the building of the present structure of the congregation. He served on the building committee at the time and was the chief carpenter during construction. Mr. Sayler has served as Sunday school superintendent and has also served as a Sunday school teacher. During his later years Mr. Sayler served as chairman of an inter-denominational group which conducts religious services for residents of the Wishek Retirement Home.
