The funeral for Oscar Remboldt, 80, Gackle, N.D., will be at 11 Thursday in United Church of Christ Congregational Church, Gackle. Visitation will be from 9 to 9 today in Haut Funeral Home, Gackle, and one hour before services in the church. He died Sunday. [January 20, 1991]
Mr. Remboldt was born Feb. 23, 1910, in Gackle, where he grew up and attended school. He married Christine Dorr June 1, 1933, in Napoleon, N.D., and they farmed near Gackle. In 1948 they moved into Gackle, where he and a partner opened Gackle Packing Plant. They operated the plant until 1983, when he retired.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Delano (Bud), Edina, Minn.; and Dwight (Chuck), Fargo; two daughter, Rosetta (Mrs. Herman) Gold, Napa, Calif.; and Suzetta Remboldt, Fargo; two brothers, Edward C., Gackle; and Reuben, Oceanside, Calif.; a sister, Ruth Netz, Morgan, Utah; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
