Many internet resources indicate that Thomas and Anna's daughter Elizabeth married Jerathmeel Bowers, but as far as I can tell, that has not been proved.
New information, based on DNA testing, has indicated he was not related to Edward Wilder of Hingham, and is not of the Shiplake, Oxfordhire Wilder family. His origins are therefore unknown at present, including a supposed birth year of 1618. He may have been from the Lancaster area in England, but this has not been established with any degree of certainty. (See "American Ancestors" (NEHGS) Spring 2010 issue.) The reference to him living at Hingham on the latter day stone erected in the cemetery (see photo and inscription) is incorrect.
He was of Charlestown,MA, admitted as freeman in 1641, marrying there, and purchasing land in 1643.
He was living on 1 July 1659 at Lancaster, Worcester County, Massachusetts, when he signed the Town Orders. He left a will on 22 January 1666/67 at Lancaster, and he served on 3 February 1667 as Selectman of Lancaster. Thomas's estate was inventoried on 29 November 1667 at Lancaster, and his estate was probated there on 4 March 1667/68.

Thomas and Anna (Eames) Rose did have a daughter Hannah born in 1622. Anna (Eames) Rose is said to be a sister of Anthony Eames). This appears to be the most plausible theory of Anna's identity.

Thomas sailed to the new world from his home in Lincolnshire, England in 1636 with his two brothers, William, and Edward. He first settled in Ipswich, and Rowley MA. In 1646 he moved west to what is now Lancaster, MA with 5 other families, thereby becoming the first settlers in that area.In 1648 he married Mary Prescott, daughter of John Prescott, and Mary Platt. Born to them were Thomas(my 8th great grandfather) b.1649, Ephraim b.1651, Marie b.1653, Elizabeth b. 1654, Joshua b. 1656, James b. 1657, Caleb b. 1659, John b. 1661, Elizabeth b.1664, Deborah b. 1666, Nathaniel b. 1670, Martha b. 1673, and Hannah b.?
Thomas contributed much to the settlement and development of Lancaster. He served as Prudential Manager, Selectman, and Freeman. Not only a blacksmith, he was a builder as well, and, with his father-in-law, John Prescott, erected many saw mills and grist mills. Like most settlers, he was also a part-time soldier, and the Sawyer home was one of five garrison houses where town inhabitants took refuge during Indian raids. Son Ephraim died during the so-called Great Massacre of Feb. 10. 1676, when King Philip,(an Indian chief given that name by the English, in order to flatter him) and some 1500 warriors attacked the town. Thomas Sawyer lived most of his life in a house on a low-lying lot beside the Nashua River, bordering Narrow Lane in South Lancaster near the Atherton Bridge.

George was a son of John and Sarah Parkhurst. He married Phebe Leete on Mar. 29, 1610/1611 and with her had at least nine children between 1612 and 1629: Phoebe, Mary, Samuel, Deborah, George, Jr., John, Abigail, Elizabeth and Joseph.
George immirgrated to the Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1637. There he married 2nd Mrs. Susanna Simson, the widow of John Simson, who had died in Watertown in 1643. She had five children with John and at least five more with George.
George and Susanna lived first in Watertown and later in Boston. Susanna returned to England after 1650. George followed in 1655 after selling the remainder of the land she had owned with John Simson.
George died in Ipswich, Suffolk, England and was buried at St. Lawrence on June 18, 1675.

Henry/1w Brooks was probably born in or near Manchester, Lancashire circa 1592. The location of his birth is inferred from Y-DNA testing which has established Henry's close relationship to Richard/b Brooke (d. 1607) of Manchester. Henry's birthdate is calculated from a December, 1658 suit in the Massachusetts Bay Colony in which he testified he was then "about 66" years of age.2,3 He was probably the Henry, son of John deceased, whose grandfather Richard/b Brooke, of Manchester, in his will dated 5 Aug 1607, left Henry Brooke, son of his son John Brooke, five shillings.4
Henry Brooks married (1), probably by 1622 in England, an unnamed first wife with whom he had all of his 8 known children.5,3 (Here we include Hannah Brooks, who, while sometimes erroneously ascribed to Thomas Brooks of Concord, was Henry's daughter.)
From Shattuck in 1835 to John Brooks Threlfall in 1973, many authorities have suggested a sibling relationship between Henry and Thomas Brooks. In this regard, the year 2006 brought a gratifying conjunction between Y-DNA testing and the unpublished English research of John Brooks Threlfall. (Full details are available via the DNA Testing link on this site's home page.) Here we will simply state that Henry and Thomas Brooks were evidently 1st cousins, grandsons of the aforementioned Richard Brooke. Previously, the scant evidence for such a close connection was found in the will of Henry's son-in-law Thomas Fox, which speaks of "uncle Thomas Brooks," and in the fact that Thomas's son Joshua was living at Henry's son Isaac's place at Concord in 1666.6,7,4
Henry Brooks first appears in New England records on 14 Mar 1639, when, of Concord, he was admitted a freeman of the Bay Colony8, and was a Concord resident 12 Apr 1641, when the birth of his son Joseph was recorded there.9,10 He then appears between 1649 and 1657 on the tax list of Woburn, Massachusetts.11 20 Dec 1650, William Brackenbury ["Brakenbury"], late of Charlestowne (where he had been constable), sold to Henry Brookes of Woburn, yeoman, for £50, six parcels of upland and meadow (178 acres in all) at Horn Pond, together with a house frame. Brackenbury's wife Alice ["Ales"] gave her consent by mark. Henry Brooks's homestead, described in Woburn records in 1678, was located on South Street (later, lower Main Street), and as late as 1789 was owned by a direct descendant, Capt. Nathaniel Brooks.12,13......

John Prescott, Sr. was born about 1605 in England and died in Lancaster, MA in 1683. He married Mary Gawkroger (alias Platt) (1607-1718) on April 11, 1629 in Sowerby, Yorkshire, England. The first 5 of their children were born in England except for the fifth child Hannah who was probably born in Barbados, West Indies in 1639. Their children included: Mary (Thomas Sawyer), Martha (John Rugg), John, Jr. (Sarah), Sarah (1 Richard Wheeler, 2 Joseph Rice), Hannah (John Rugg widower of Martha), Lydia (1 Jonas Fairbanks, 2 Elias Barron, Jr.), Capt. Jonathan (1 Dorothy Heald, 2 Elizabeth Hoar, 3 Rebecca Wheeler, 4 Ruth Brown), Joseph (probable that there was no son Joseph and that his existence at all is due to a clerks error in an early history of Concord, MA), Capt. John and Mary were in Watertown, MA in 1640 and moved from there to the Nashaway Plantation in 1643 which was later to become Lancaster. Jonas was born here before Lancaster was incorporated so his birth was registered in Groton. There may have been two other children who died in infancy in England. Mary's alias "Platts" appears to come from English lands by that name that passed down through the Gawkroger family.
